Government employees staged a demonstration as part of their ongoing movement at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday, demanding repeal of the Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.
After the demonstration in front of Building 6 in the Secretariat’s Badamtoli area, they submitted a memorandum to three advisers-Ali Imam Majumder, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, and Syeda Rizwana Hasan and urged them to accept their demand.
During the protest, employees chanted various slogans such as “Abolish the illegal black law,” “Employees turn down the unlawful black law,” “We don’t accept and won’t accept this repressive ordinance,” “Unite and fight, 1.8 million employees,” and “Beware, collaborators of fascism”.
After submitting the memorandum, Co-chairman of the Bangladesh Secretariat Employees Unity Forum Md Nurul Islam told the media that they would announce though programme if their demand is not met.
