Hm3 – an inspiring journey of a woman entrepreneur

TAM Report ||

Afia Farah Siddiqui Honey, a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, has turned a simple idea into a thriving international business. What began in 2018 as a modest Facebook page called Hm3 has now grown into a full-scale operation.

It handles over 1.5 tons of international products monthly, connecting Bangladeshi consumers to global brand. Online platform Hm3 now sells retail and lifestyle products like sunglasses, shoes, perfume, leather bags etc.

Consumers can choose products from renowned global brands like Gucci, Adidas, Aldo, Vincci, Charles & Keith, Lovisa etc.

Afia and her husband moved to Malaysia in 2016 to pursue their bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering.

While studying there, they frequently visited shopping malls, where they were introduced to a variety of international brands and lifestyle products.

The exposure sparked a vision – what if these high-quality items were made available to people back in Bangladesh? In 2018, Afia, her husband, her brother-in-law, and a close friend named Mobeen, decided to act on that vision.

The idea was simple yet ambitious: sourcing well-known global brands and sell them online to Bangladeshi customers through a Facebook page. The group brainstormed names for their venture, and it was Mobeen who suggested “Hm3”, symbolizing Honey (Afia) and the three men supporting the venture.

Their journey, however, was far from easy. “At first, we could barely send 30 kg of products due to high shipping costs and taxing import duties,” Afia recalls. “It was disheartening, but we never gave up.”

Today, Hm3 stands as a testament to perseverance, passion, and smart business acumen. The business now handles more than 1.5 tons of imported products each month, all from the comfort of Afia’s home.

She has established strong ties with several renowned international brands, earning VIP status with many of them.

Afia isn’t just the founder – she’s the face of Hm3. From product promotion to live presentations and influencer marketing, she manages every aspect of the business. “I’m the influencer, promoter, and live presenter – all rolled into one,” she proudly states.

Afia Farah Siddiqui Honey’s story is an inspiring example of how innovation, determination, and teamwork can overcome obstacles and build something extraordinary from the ground up. Through Hm3, she has not only created a successful business but also opened a gateway for global brands into the homes of Bangladeshi consumers.
